OFFSHORE CRANE OPERATOR STAGE 3 TRAINING

Course Description: The Offshore Crane Operator Stage 3 Training is designed to develop advanced knowledge, practical skills, and operational competence required for experienced offshore crane operators to safely plan, coordinate, and execute complex offshore lifting operations. 

The course focuses on offshore supply vessel (OSV) operations, complex and critical lifting activities, lift planning, and personnel lifting operations while ensuring compliance with industry’s best practices, company procedures, and relevant international standards. 

Course Duration: 5 Days

Course Objectives: By the end of the offshore crane stage 3 training, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate advanced competence in planning and executing offshore crane operations.
  • Safely conduct cargo transfer operations between offshore installations and offshore supply vessels under varying environmental conditions.
  • Identify, assess, and control risks associated with complex and critical lifting operations.
  • Develop and implement effective lifting plans.
  • Apply safe procedures for personnel lifting (man-riding) operations using offshore cranes.
  • Coordinate effectively with offshore lifting teams. 
  • Apply emergency response procedures during abnormal lifting situations.
  • Comply with applicable offshore lifting regulations, company procedures, and industry standards. 

Target Audience: This course is intended for experienced offshore crane operators who have successfully completed Offshore Crane Operator Stage 2 (or equivalent competence) and are progressing toward advanced operational competence in offshore lifting operations involving supply vessels, critical lifts, lift planning, and personnel lifting activities.
