RIGGING AND LIFTING TRAINING

Course Description – The rigging and lifting training course is designed to suit the requirements of delegates who have limited or no knowledge of rigging and lifting techniques.

Course Objectives – Upon completion of this rigging and lifting course, delegates should be able to:

  • Explain statutory requirements, regulations and approved codes of practice regarding lifting equipment.
  • Use items of lifting equipment safely and correctly.
  • Inspect and use different types of lifting equipment.
  • Understand calculations required in rigging to include weight calculations, required sling angles and how to use sling charts during slinging.
  • Understanding the duties of a rigger in lifting operations.
