CRANE AND LIFT SUPERVISOR TRAINING

Course Description – The aim of this course is to deliver thorough theory-based and practical training on all the key responsibilities of a crane and lift supervisor. The course shall provide delegates with basic skills and knowledge at supervisory level to direct and supervise the lifts as per the lift plan. 

Course Duration – 3 days

Course Objectives – Upon successful completion of the crane and lift supervisor training, delegates will be able to:

  • Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as a crane supervisor  
  • Explain the importance of locating and identifying different types of lifting equipment and lifting accessories. 
  • Explain their basic construction, uses, applications and functions of lifting equipment/accessories
  • Demonstrate how to interpret and extract information on all relevant documentations  
  • Explain and demonstrate diverse types of communication methods used for lifting operations
  • Supervise the movement of loads to different types of locations using different methods of communication 
  • Explain all environmental considerations and explain how factors such as the external area to the lift zone can affect the planning of the lifting operation
